This summer has been a brutal one here in the vale. The endless heatwaves have proven to be an incredible challenge both for my health and for my art practice. Painting has largely been restricted to very early mornings before the heat fully sets in. So most of the time I’ve had to find alternatives to painting.
I have turned to my trusty dry materials to do some sketching during these hot summer months. Coloured pencils, markers, and pens have provided the opportunity to still create even during the nightmarish heat.
